Here is my journey that explains the website name. I was excited to work in the field of data science in consumer finance as one can crunch dashboard numbers and run analyses to get insights that can impact business outcomes. Soon a realization sets in that interpretation of insights is often not straightforward to make a strong recommendation and worse if one does not have sufficient relevant data. Moreover, in shaping behavior just historical data has limitations. Does it sound familiar that data science projects may fail due to a lack of clear business understanding? This took me to study economics and behavioural & experimental economics in search of a comprehensive understanding of economic interactions. Here is my website which has my Ph.D. thesis work.
 
The broader economics research can provide frameworks to explain the big picture and are granular to provide interpretation of insights from data across domains in businesses. These frameworks can serve as guiding principles in making business decisions even when data is not available.
